Terms of Use
Last updated: November 1, 2026
1. Introduction
VideoResolver lets you download public videos and audio from a link, on our website, through our REST API or from AI assistants over MCP (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use.
2. Your account
Give accurate information when you sign up and keep your password and API keys private. You are responsible for everything done with your account and your keys; revoke a key from your account as soon as you think it is exposed.
Free credits are meant for one account per person. Accounts created to collect them several times may start without free credits.
3. Acceptable use
You may only download content you own, that is in the public domain, or that you have the right to download and use. You are responsible for respecting copyright and the terms of the platforms you download from. You agree not to:
- use the Service for anything illegal or to infringe the rights of others;
- download private content or bypass access restrictions such as paywalls or age checks;
- resell access to the Service or publish downloaded files you have no right to share;
- overload, attack or reverse engineer the Service, or get around its limits.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and remove content when we receive a valid notice from its rights holder.
4. Credits and payments
Downloads use credits: one credit per started minute of media. The free plan includes 2 credits every 30 days.
Monthly plans renew automatically and are charged at the start of each period until you cancel from your account; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Monthly credits reset at each renewal and do not carry over. Credit packs are one-time purchases, valid 6 months after your latest pack purchase.
Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Prices are shown before you pay. If a download fails, its credits are refunded automatically. Credits have no cash value and are not refundable, except where the law requires it.
5. Your files
Downloaded files are stored privately for your account for 48 hours, then deleted. Download them within that time: we keep no backup.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, its code, design and brand belong to VideoResolver. Content you download belongs to its respective owners. VideoResolver is not affiliated with YouTube, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Instagram or any other platform it supports.
7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is”. It depends on third-party platforms that can change or block access to their content at any time, so we cannot guarantee that every link can be downloaded or that the Service is always available.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages such as lost profits or data, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law.
8. Closing your account
You can delete your account at any time from your profile. Deletion is permanent: your files, unused credits and API keys are removed and any subscription is cancelled.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date above shows the latest version; for important changes, we will let you know by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by French law, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory rules of your country of residence.
